    Mental Health Tribunal Coordinator


  • Administrative Position


  • Part time Ongoing opportunity, working 32 hours per fortnight 


  • Based at The Northern Hospital and will work across all NAMHS sites

  • Northern Area Mental Health Service (NAMHS), working closely with the Northern Hospital, believes in the effective delivery of high quality psychiatric services.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to




  • To utilise your experience and enthusiasiasm to support the Northern Area Mental Health Service with coordination of the Mental Health Act 2014 (MHA 2014).

  • To master a coordinating role in the NAMHS with regards to all mental health Tribunal activities.

  • To Efficiently and effectively liaise with the Tribunal, ensuring that the Mental Health Tribunal operates effectively and efficiently within the NAMHS

  • Ensure that necessary administrative procedures and processes are in place across the NAMHS to support timely data collection and reporting in accordance with the requirements of the MHA 2014.

  • Work collaboratively with the NAMHS Senior Clinician, Mental Health Act Implementation, other staff with Mental Health Act implementation leadership roles, and the administration officers in each of the NAMHS programs.



Your Contribution




  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers

  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014

  • High level of knowledge and skill in the function of Client Management Interface (CMI) system.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
