The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of Victorians into the future. We also lead the Victorian Government's response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Officer, Medicines Improvement program, works within the team to deliver on the strategic priorities of the unit. Reporting to the Project Coordinator, the Senior Project Officer will lead nominated key elements of the six month program to address the highest priority needs in medicines safety in both the health and aged care systems, with the program including but not limited to, the establishment of a Medicines Reference Group to advise on the program and the implementation of a medicines improvement initiative. This time-limited program will introduce essential system-level mechanisms which aim to support all Victorians to receive the same high-quality care wherever they live.

The team is seeking an individual to support and lead projects that are fast paced, requiring capacity to exercise sound judgement, liaise effectively, and build relationships with key people. You will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders and operate with a high level of professionalism, initiative and collaboration.
