About the role

Lifeblood wishes to recruit an experienced employee relations lawyer into the position of Director, Employee Relations. The purpose of the role is to act as the organisation’s strategic advisor on all aspects of employee relations. The role is responsible for shaping the employee relations strategy and driving the commercial and cultural outcomes that align with the organisation’s strategic plan. The role acts as an advisor to the organisation on all matters relating to employee relations.

The role reports to the Executive Director, People & Culture and is a member of the People & Culture leadership team. The role involves significant interaction with internal and external parties and requires excellent customer and stakeholder relationship management skills. There is one direct report into the position and involves working closely with the General Counsel.

About you

You are an experienced, specialist employee relations lawyer who is currently undertaking a similar role within a well-regarded organisation, or at senior associate level in private practice. Proven secondment experience is preferred for those in the law firm environment. Your sensible outlook and pragmatic style, together with your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to quickly immerse yourself in the organisation and deliver significant results. You have proven influencing skills and the ability to juggle a range of competing priorities. Your drive and enthusiasm make you well suited to operating in the environment of this dynamic and renowned organisation.
