What does the role involve?

The Senior Strategy Manager reports to the Head of Community and Consumer (C&C) Customer Strategy within Customer Strategy & Portfolio Development (CS&PD). CS&PD has been created to act as the connection point between the C&C business unit and the broader enterprise, driving for successful prioritisation, execution and governance of key strategic priorities and programs of work.

This 6 month Fixed Term Contract role is responsible for supporting the development of the C&C customer strategy using key customer insights and driving strategic alignment across C&C and the broader enterprise. The role is responsible for building strategic capabilities across the business and providing leadership across C&C in strategic thinking.

This role works closely with Corporate Strategy and the C&C Senior Leadership team to ensure clarity, consistency and alignment of strategic plans and roadmap implementation.

What are the key responsibilities:

  • Address enterprise-wide and business unit strategic issues within cross-functional teams
  • Identify and frame specific problems for the business, structure the problem and identify and conduct the right analysis to solve the problem
  • Develop key customer insights (such as strategic customer segments, pain points, trends, opportunities) to inform strategic decisions and maintain repository of insights
  • Support the development of key inputs for leadership reports and working sessions, including papers for the Board, Executive Committee and Strategy Forums
  • Actively contribute to the development of project hypotheses, storylines and presentations
  • Perform complex quantitative modelling and analysis of financial and non-financial data (e.g. market and competitor trends and dynamics, cost analysis, profitability analysis)

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a corporate strategy role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within an organisation
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with ability to conduct and lead others in the development of financial analysis and modelling to support decision making
