Committed to providing the 'best' advise and support around people that ensures the continued success of their business, they are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join their growing Human Resources Team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Group Human Resources Manager, with dotted line to the Head of Division, this role will work with the leadership team to ensure effective implementation and management of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures that provide an optimal working environment that promotes a culture of excellence, organisational effectiveness and achievement of business objectives.

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Coach people leaders to develop their people skills and understanding of core people practices;
  • Advise and support leaders in the development and implementation of performance management, leadership development, management and resolution of grievances, disciplines and complaints;
  • Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiation and consultative processes;
  • Prepare and present monthly workforce reports as required and analyse the data to develop action plans with leaders to address key issues arising from these reports; and
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders in order to understand how HR can continuously add value in supporting the business achieve its goals.

Providing strategic and operational Human Resources Management and Industrial and Employment Relations advice to leadership and employees, whilst continuing to lift the brand and reputation of Human Resources will be key to your success.
About You
You are an experienced HR professional who is able to communicate your knowledge of generalist HR and IR practices confidently and effectively. You are a resilient and motivated self-starter with a strong desire to lift leadership capability. You thrive on building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business and enjoy a role where you will get your “hands dirty”.

Key attributes and skills:
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills;
  • Results-driven and solutions-focused;
  • Commercially and politically astute;
  • Expert knowledge of industrial relations instruments and frameworks; and
  • Experience gained in blue collar environment, with preference for experience with civil construction and/or road maintenance.
