We are looking for a passionate Payroll Specialist to join our team a to manage the end to end payroll process for the Australia and New Zealand business.

In this role, you will:
Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and payment of salaries and wages, the scheduling of all payroll financial journals, statutory taxation, superannuation contributions and employee payroll disbursements
Complete the reconciliation of payroll accounts and entitlements to the general ledger
Prepare and schedule payroll reporting and information
Prepare and provide ad hoc business labour reporting as required
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal company controls
Complete month and year end processing and reconciliation of the payrolls
Participate in team initiatives, projects and activities relating to process improvements, data integrity and business compliance.

Make it possible
Ideally you will have:
3 - 5 years of experience in Australia and New Zealand payrolls across a salaried and waged environment, ideally within a large organisation
A good understanding of accounting principles, standards and procedures
Strong understanding of payroll legislation and regulation, with familiarity in employee set up
Experience working in a sole charge capacity &/or the ability to work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, preferably with Chris21 system background
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
