About the Role:

This is an exciting and meaningful part time role for an energetic individual with sound experience developing and delivering programs to community groups. As a Community Safety Engagement Officer, you will provide community groups and organisations advice on fire information and support services through the delivery of CFA's programs such as: Fire Ready Victoria, Bush Fire Planning Workshops, Home Fire Safety Workshops and other community safety initiatives. The position will play a key role in helping people to take responsibility for their own fire safety and to develop their own survival strategies.

About You:

To succeed in this important role, you will ideally have a relevant qualification and/or experience facilitating groups and meetings, developing/delivering programs and working with local communities, clubs and organisations. Your well-developed communication and presentation skills will be complemented by strong interpersonal skills. An understanding of bushfire behaviour, CFA community safety messages and local environmental issues are highly desirable. Furthermore, a full, current driver's licence is a requirement for this role.
