Senior Lead Rosters (AV6)

 Ambulance Victoria (AV) provides outstanding emergency healthcare, every time. In order for AV to continue providing this high level of care we are seeking an experienced Rostering professional, to manage rosters and support the management and coordination of AV's Rostering hubs and function, enabling timely, consistent, and optimal service delivery.

About the role

Reporting to and working closely with the Rostering Manager, this position is also responsible for developing and recommending operational resourcing strategies and driving a range of roster related change to meet and accommodate dynamic workforce needs and requirements, ensuring AV is better placed to meet future business needs. 

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Ensuring rostering services and practices support delivery of a 24/7 emergency operation
  • Working closely with the Area Team Leaders and Lead Daily Desk to support AV's Rostering hubs and function
  • Analysing performance trends to ensure they are the optimum plans for AV to operate effectively
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support rostering service delivery
  • Monitoring safe practices, policies, procedures compliance across the organisation
  • Mentoring the Rosters team, providing continuous improvement opportunities for staff development

About you

You will have a tertiary qualification in health, logistics, business, or like experience in a related discipline together with a diverse business background in complex service delivery or logistics environment, (preferably in the Health or Emergency Services field) and possess the following experience;

  • Significant industry experience working in a complex organisations with diverse business requirements
  • Experience developing and implementing process and business improvement activities, identifying solutions
  • Demonstrated experience applying Award provisions relating to rostering and relevant Enterprise Agreements
  • Working collaboratively when developing and managing key stakeholder relationships
  • Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Highly proficient user of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Required to be available outside of ordinary working hours to provide advice, support or authoritative direction to other employees or managers involved in dealing with emergency or time critical incidents or issues

AV has introduced salary bands, and this position is graded at AV6. The salary range for an AV6 position is $144,341 to $165,712 (CAA1 allowance applicable to position)plus 9.5% superannuation. The expectation is that employees will commence at the base of the grade applicable to a position. 

The successful candidate will be required to make a Statutory Declaration and undertake an Australian National Criminal Check in conjunction with other pre-employment check and must have a current Victorian Driver's License and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required.
