A fantastic opportunity exists for a self-motivated, experienced Bookkeeper / Office Allrounder to join this privately-owned supermarket chain based at the head office store in Deer Park.

This position will ideally suit someone who has previous experience in a varied bookkeeping supermarket role, with extensive accounts and administration experience.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Payable / Receivable duties
  • Maintaining general ledger for 3 stores
  • Processing weekly payroll of up to 70 staff across 3 sites
  • Maintaining all administration tasks required
  • Performing reconciliations of customer accounts
  • Reconcile supplier statements, bank statements, and follow up with any queries and weekly profit & loss
  • Ensuring systems are in place and followed up within all stores
  • Other tasks as required

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in a similar role - Supermarket experience preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks or similar system - An advantage
  • Previous experience with Futurenet POS software - An advantage
  • Excellent communication skills - Written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-managed
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
  • Being able to absorb store data and enhance store admin procedures

You must be able to use your initiative, be self-motivated and have a positive attitude. In addition, you will demonstrate effective time management and have strong computer skills.
