The Role

The Plans & Entitlements team provides advanced authorization capabilities to Whispir's real-time platform as well as a agile pricing and billing platform. They are responsible for providing:
  • Real-time behavioural analysis for key services
  • Detect & prevent abuse
  • Real-time billing and account risk analysis
  • Reliable platform for pricing plan calculations in real-time or on-demand
  • Billing and payment capabilities
  • Contribute to the single view of the customer

The team is responsible for understanding the usage of the platform by customers and providing them with clear, explainable bills. They must work closely with ops and infosec to maintain a highly-available, highly-scalable and highly-secure platform.

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for driving the forward momentum of your team, designing systems architecture, planning the roadmap and working with other teams to define service boundaries. You will also help hire, grow and coach your team members to give them career progression and a great working life at Whispir.

The Tech

We have a burgeoning Javascript/Typescript codebase for our newer software - both on the frontend (React) and our backend. We also have a legacy Java EE stack that we're evolving and factoring away from.

You will know at least one of these ecosystems and one or two others to a deep level. You should be familiar with various AWS cloud services such as EC2, EKS, MSK, RDS, Lambda. Experience with automation tools (such as terraform, cloudformation) and CI/CD processes is a must.
