Mig Welders Required, Full-Time Hours, $33PH + Travel, Ballarat based, Temp Role with an Ongoing Opportunity


Your new company
Located in the Ballarat region, our well recognised client are seeking Mig Welders to join their team on a temporary basis with the view to become a permanent role after 3 months.

Your new role
Due to an increased workload, additional support is now required. Working within Ballarat you’ll be responsible for welding steel in a workshop environment, whilst adhering to work schedules and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to perform various types of welds at a high level
  • Ability to assist other trades when required
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to use various hand and power tools
  • Ability to work within a team, but also be able to work autonomously
  • Have well developed communication skills

What you'll need to succeed
  • Be committed to safe working practices within the workplace
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role with MIG experience
  • Capable of reading shop drawings
  • Must be a qualified welder
  • Previous experience as a manual welder in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Able to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically
  • Aware of safe work practices,
  • Focused on attention to detail
  • Capable and confident using hand tools
  • Able to TIG weld (not essential but desirable
  • Ability to successfully pass a Medical and Drug & Alcohol Testing
