National Self Insurance is an arm of EML that caters to employer’s who are self-insured for their workers compensation requirements and have partnered with EML to administer their claims management function.

NSI currently have a national offering for our employer partners, and have offices in Brisbane, Parramatta, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

The purpose of this role is too pro-actively and effectively manage claims and injury management aspects of a caseload of claims within the legislation and achieve compliance with the Performance Measures. The position also involves leading and supervising the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a high performing and customer-responsive team.

Your Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Group Manager to develop and implement a pro-active, specialised approach to the management of medical and like workers compensation claims
  • Pro-actively supervise, develop and support team members ensuring team and organisational objectives are met
  • Provide technical guidance in relation to the strategic management of workers compensation insurance claims to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a team of case managers

About You
  • Experience in a Team Leader role or equivalent within the Workers Compensation scheme
  • Demonstrated expertise in the management of workers compensation impairment benefit claims
  • Strong understanding of the contractual requirements and performance measures for self-insurance
  • Leadership skills, including team building, coaching, performance management and change management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience managing and developing teams within a personal injury environment
