JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Description

Working in Kytec's Projects team, the ICT Security Specialist is responsible for the design, deployment, management and support of Network and Security infrastructure based on Cisco's portfolio. The solutions include Cisco's complete Security portfolio consisting of Firepower, AMP, Content Security and ISE as well as Cisco's Wired and Wireless portfolios including Meraki.

Responsibilities

The ICT Security Specialist is responsible for:

  • Administration, deployment, implementation and management of Cisco Security technologies including Cisco Advance Malware protection, Cisco Identity Service Engine, Cisco Next-Gen Firewalls, DUO Security, and Meraki Networks
  • Establish, administer, and manage ICT security policies to minimize and control risks
  • Liaise with customers to install and support network & security applications
  • Troubleshoot support escalations for severity 1 & 2 issues related to compliance, threats, network operations, backups and upgrades
  • Responsible for clear communication to key stakeholders at client sites
  • Writing, updating, and documenting technical guidelines, end-user documents and procedures for projects, researches, designs, and analysis
  • liaising with security vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources; analysing, recommending, installing and maintaining software security applications; and monitoring contractual obligations, performance delivery and service level agreements
  • Deliver tasks independently
  • Deliver tasks in accordance with the defined scope of works and in line with best practice methodology
  • Provide mentorship and an escalation point for more junior systems engineers
  • Provide root cause analysis to ensure system stability is maintained
  • Provide after-hours support when required
