What we're doing

The Corporate Affairs team sits within the Audience and Marketing team. We are passionate about building scalable strategies to drive a step-change in the understanding of audiences and the property market. Our team sets the brand vision for our company - what our identity stands for, how we educate through the right data and insights and how best to communicate stories that matter.

Corporate Affairs and Audience and Marketing will work in unison to support the delivery of common goals and objectives - in particular, using research and reports to supercharge REA Insights.

What the role is all about

The PR Manager will work seamlessly with teams across the business to conceive, develop and execute engaging stories in the media leveraging REA Group data and insights to help customers and consumers make the most informed property decisions. Day-to-day, this will include:

  • Promoting REA Group's brands through compelling communications using different earned and owned media channels
  • Supporting the Corporate Affairs team to execute campaigns in line with the business strategy with a focus on research, reports and data to supercharge REA Insights
  • Using our data, insights and experts to tell engaging stories externally
  • Writing and reviewing media releases, including pitching stories directly into media
  • Developing and maintaining strong media relationships with key journalists
  • Editing written expert content for earned and owned channels
  • Providing media relations and communications counsel to teams across the business


Who we're looking for

  • A savvy media professional - someone who consumes media, understands what makes news and is comfortable pitching stories to journalists
  • Experience leveraging research or data - someone who is able to look at numbers and tell a story
  • Demonstrated end-to-end campaign experience
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to switch between writing styles
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to influence internally and externally
  • Detail-focused and quick to deliver
  • Hyper organised and with experience working independently in a fast-paced and agile environment
  • A natural team player who displays the REA Values consistently at the highest level
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, resilience and a sense of pride to get the job done
  • Strong relationship management skills and previous experience working with multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Considers, understands and respects different views as part of the decision making process
  • Someone who has a good mix of creativity and understands corporate communications
  • An existing network of media contacts
  • Tech-savvy with solid IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat)
  • Ideally, you'll have tertiary qualifications in Communications, or something similar
  • A can-do, 'get it done' attitude and positive approach is key

If successful, you'll report into Corporate Affairs, but work closely with our Audience & Marketing and Economist teams.
