Purpose

The Specialist, eCommerce Operations will be responsible for ensuring product on-site (across adidas & Reebok) is presented accurately and appropriately, optimized to deliver a best-in-class customer experience and to achieve tactical and strategic business objectives.

In this function the eCommerce Specialist will support the eCommerce Operations Manager with product configurations and assist in influencing KPI’s through analytical insights, on-site merchandising, catalog updates and system troubleshooting.

Working in a cross-functional environment with brand marketing, customer service, global operations, and eCommerce merchandising, this candidate will own implementation of product launch and set up both an ad-hoc and seasonal approach to product data embellishment, ensuring we can plan appropriately ahead of key campaigns, hype drops, and promotions. An important responsibility of this candidate will also be assisting in the execution of specific product & merchandising related projects as they arise, including the global PIM & Fredhopper tool.

Additionally, the scope of this role includes assisting in identifying and resolving technical bugs and/or errors on the site through global and local teams responsible for systems, tools and processes linking in with eCommerce.

Product Data

Key Accountabilities:

  • Product related maintenance (e.g. product copy, dates, prices, sizes), liaising globally and locally to gather required information
  • Ensure the timely availability of assets and global master data in adidas systems and act as escalation point for all eCom Master Data Management topics
  • Product related development and implementation
  • Catalog set up
  • Catalog maintenance and updates
  • Product release calendar
  • Proactively identify opportunities to impact commercial targets e.g. new product set up, reactive merchandising
  • Support hype launches together with global
  • Reporting & analytics, driving a set of actions based on findings


Season Plan Execution
  • Support in the product related implementation of local brand campaigns & experiences
  • Manage creation of custom product pages, including tactical landing pages & collections
  • On-site merchandising
  • Site configurations to support local campaigns, experiences & B2B journeys
  • Define and own local processes around product master data & required inputs
  • Reporting & analytics, making adjustments based on findings


Issue Management
  • Proactive troubleshooting of inventory and product data
  • Addressing consumer inquiries and ad-hoc requests internally
  • Active and reactive approach to managing technical content issues through bug fix/demand process


Other Duties As Required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • A high degree of computer competency; in particular the ability to work in numerous applications at one time and correlate information from one application to the next including a basic understanding of different file formats.
  • Experience with content management systems, and an understanding of the system landscape commonly present in an eCommerce environment
  • An understanding of business levers which impact ecommerce commercial success, conversion rate, traffic, average order value and how to positively impact each of these
  • Experience with major analytics platforms (Google analytics, Omniture)
  • The candidate must be self-directed and able to work in a highly flexible and informally structured environment. Exemplary multi-tasking and time management skills are a necessity.
  • An excellent command of the English language, both oral and written, and the ability to effectively communicate and positively influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A clear understanding of best in class consumer/visitor experience in the modern digital world, a continually evolving perspective on the optimal consumer journey.
  • A sound understanding of current and emerging ecommerce technologies and their on-site application


Qualifications
  • College or University degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of the apparel and / or sports industry an asset
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a major eCommerce or digital marketing organization
  • Experience working on digital content updates & master data
