The role with us

The Digital Optimisation Specialist will create actionable insights that improve Telstra's Digital Channels performance - from both a customer and commercial perspective (Digital Engagement, Digital Customer Experience, Digital Sales, Digital Campaigns). They bring a strong mix of analytics and business analysis.

Key responsibilities

  • Grow digital sales and service by using insights to improve acquisition, conversion, and retention. You will oversee the continued growth of our digital capabilities and source new data and capabilities to enable contextual and personalised experiences
  • Provide high quality marketing analytics, product insights and automated reporting using Power BI, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, SQL etc.,
  • Ensure high quality data collection across our web and digital assets by working with stakeholders to collect business requirements and translating them to implementation requirements
  • Using a suite of data analytics tools and resources, uncover a deep strategic understanding of customer behaviour at the initiative, campaign, customer journey or mission level
  • Consult and work closely with our stakeholders to understand their needs and translate this into a roadmap of channel optimisation activity
  • Apply HCD principles to design and optimise omnichannel customer journeys using tools like Salesforce IS

About you

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • Min 3+ years' experience working with data to solve digital and marketing problems
  • Expert in leveraging an array of web analytics and reporting platforms e.g. Salesforce tools, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Test & Target, Google Analytics, Power BI, Medallia etc.
  • Experience launching and optimising digital campaigns, digital marketing channels (SEO/SEM/Display/eDM etc) and paid media
  • SQL database management and maintenance skills
  • Experience in designing and running digital experiments (building hypothesis, running A/B tests, CRO)
  • Experience in creating and executing campaign audiences, coupled with experience in marketing automation and DMPs
  • Understanding and experience in personalisation ecosystem will be a big plus
  • Understanding of tag management tools (GTM, DTM or other) and data layer implementations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage analytics program of work, including defining metrics, levers and OKRs
  • Experience in database engineering, ETL processes and integration tools (e.g. SQL, SAS, Data360 etc) for data extraction and manipulation desirable
