About ESTA

ESTA is the critical link between the Victorian community and the state's emergency services agencies and it partners with the agencies to improve service delivery to the community. It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for police, fire, ambulance and VICSES and manages the provision of advanced, operational communications for police, ambulance, fire services and the SES. Its vision is to be a high-performing team trusted by the community and our partners to deliver the right emergency response. And its central goal is to save lives and prevent harm through speed and accuracy in emergency operations.

About the role

This rare part-time role, is an integral role in our Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. This role provides technical guidance to managers on all injury management for work and non-work related injuries and worker's compensation claims.

With a strong focus on early intervention and psychological health, this position will be the main liaison point for injured employees, line managers and medical practitioners to coordinate suitable transitional duties, reasonable adjustments and development of return to work plans to guide employees back to their pre-injury duties.

Working closely with the Payroll team, People & Culture partners and ESTA'S Worksafe agency, you will be comfortable communicating with a variety of people and reporting on compensation claims and injury management data.

This role is part time, 30.4 hours per week to be worked across ideally 4 days. We are open to discussions on the working pattern and location.

This position is covered by ESTA Support Office Enterprise agreement and is classed as a Band 3. 

FT equivalent base salary range would be $94,908.00 - $130,499.00

About you

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven success in coaching managers to support sustainable return work plans and transitional duties.
  • Proven success as a RTW coordinator and workers compensation expert
  • A background in mental health or an allied health professional highly regarded
  • Experience in PIAWE calculations
