About The Role

Our Social Support and Inclusion team is looking for motivated and friendly drivers to join the team. The Councils Community Transport services provides a suite of services to keep its residents active and independent in their community.

As a Community Transport Driver you will be responsible for driving council vehicles to transport residents to various programs, services, activities and personal appointments.

Positions available
These positions are grant funded until 30 June 2022.
  • x2 casual
  • x1 part-time (8 hours per week)

About You

You are excited by the opportunity to make a difference in the community by assisting Older Adults maintain independent lives and engaged in the community.

You will have a positive attitude and can establish friendly and professional relationships with participants. Great communication skills and strong focus on safety will assist in your success in this role.

Other Requirements Include
  • Well-developed knowledge and skill in safe and competent driving of vehicle.
  • Significant experience working with and/or driving senior persons
  • Ability to drive a 12 seat, automatic bus (standard Victorian drivers' licence)
  • Ability to communicate with a broad range of people.
  • Current Victorian driver's license
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)

Please note the successful candidate must be willing to undergo a police records check and pre-employment medical for the purpose of employment.
