Little Birdie - Melbourne, VIC

Source: uWorkin

Welcome! We are Little Birdie – a fast-growing and expanding global online shopping platform operating out of Melbourne. We’ve recently partnered with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) with a pre-launch raise of $30M. It goes without saying, we are very excited!

What does this all mean? It means that we now have the backing and confidence from one of Australia’s largest banks to successfully deliver a platform that’ll make shopping easy for customers. Set to launch in June, Little Birdie will bring over 70 million products from different online brands and stores for customers to easily discover, track, search and compare products.

Little Birdie is the new homepage of online shopping where consumers will start their shopping journey. We are building a world-leading platform that will expand rapidly into new markets; developing a global brand and reaching a global audience.

Now with all that said, this is where you come into play!

Little Birdie is on the hunt for an experienced Head of Product Management who's successfully owned and grown a Product Management function ideally at a high growth e-commerce business previously. This is a greenfield opportunity where you will be able to bring your experience and build the product management function from the ground up. Having done this before, or been in a high growth business is very desirable.

What you will do:

  • Work with the executive team and the respective product owners to define the product roadmaps and facilitate the building out of the product vision.
  • Be responsible for our core product and driving the delivery teams to execute on the roadmap and vision.
  • Owning product requirements and specifications to drive the product development schedule from design to release with a high-quality bar.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on the product roadmap and vision while allocating resources appropriately.
  • Develop a thorough understanding and become an expert on the customer behaviour, competitive landscape and identify future product opportunities.
  • Ensure our products resonate with the customers and, therefore, boosts the product appeal and in turn increases the customer base and sales volume.

What you will bring to the nest:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of successful, technical product management experience with ecommerce D2C consumer product offerings.
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment using tools such as Jira to manager projects.
  • Proven track record of building, leading and inspiring high performance Product Management teams in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for creating successful product roadmap(s) from conception to launch, leading design discussions, and building and managing a team.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to understand and translate the voice of the customer into product strategy.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (in a technical subject is a bonus).

What’s in it for you?
