JOB DESCRIPTION

Product Manager

• Full time role for a Product Manager who is not afraid of stepping outside their lane.

• Broadly focused role responsible fpr a range of customer outcomes.

FatSecret is a company of quiet achievers intent on making positive, lasting changes in the lives of as many people as we can. Despite being a small team, our data drives some of the biggest nutrition and health platforms in the world, and we have our own unique offering for people who want to watch what they eat (and it does alright on the global stage, too).

We are embarking on an ambitious journey to extend our app experiences to provide rich personalised insights and coaching to our users that will help them manage their diet, and control their weight through good nutrition.

To help us get there, we are seeking a Product Manager to help guide and support our team as we deliver to our roadmap.

The role:

  • You’ll lead key strategic streams of work for our consumer app, which are focused on building customer value into our platform for the short and long term.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with Customer Service and UX to understand the unique challenges of our customers, and ensure these challenges are communicated to and understood by the wider company, so they can align around shared customer outcomes.
  • You’ll work with external suppliers to deliver enhancements to our products.
  • You’ll manage the GTM activities for new product releases in your purview.
  • You’ll be responsible for reporting on progress through delivery and performance of products once in the market.

Who you are:

  • Customer obsessed, detail focused, data led
  • Learning agility and adaptability in all aspects of managing product development and delivery.
  • Sharing data, insights and customer feedback are second nature to you.
  • Ability to communicate clearly: from the big picture down to the finer details.
  • Proven experience in mobile apps
  • Self-guided, an ability to lead from the front with ideas on solving human problems via technology
  • Reducing waste in delivery and product features is one of your top priorities.
  • You focus on execution and delivering customer outcomes, over getting everything 100%
  • An all-rounder with a bag of tricks that include customer engagement, wireframing, user story writing (including acceptance criteria), running betas/experiments, analytics and data.

What you’ve done:

  • Be able to show us what you’ve built, tell us your role in the build, and what you’d have done differently if you came across the problem again.
  • You’ve designed and run (or at least been involved in) customer interviews and usability testing
  • You’re au fait with iOS AND Android (and web)
  • Knowledge of analytics platforms and integration in mobile apps
  • 2-3yrs minimum experience in a Product Management role
  • Experience implementing paid products within a native app will be highly regarded
  • Experience in Health, medical or fitness categories highly regarded
  • Experience managing stakeholders from various disciplines (with equally diverse opinions) required.

We are an organisation that services most world markets, and as such we welcome applicants from a broad range of backgrounds.
