About Us

Information Integrity and Access provides essential corporate services to support the governance, management, and delivery of information to the department, its Ministers and stakeholders.

This includes the provision of services relating to:

  • Freedom of Information (FOI)
  • Information and records management
  • Archival and mail services
  • Management of the departments electronic document
  • Electronic briefing and correspondence systems.

About the Role

The Information and Records Adviser reports to the Manager Information and Records and is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of a continuous improvement strategy that builds the department's information and records management capability and compliance.

The role will leverage from experience and knowledge of information and records management to:

  • deliver policies, standards and procedures that support efficient and effective records management
  • assist the Manager, Information and Records to develop and implement continuous improvement strategies
  • coordinate the Records Management Compliance Monitoring Framework
  • provide information, support, and advice on compliance with the departments records management policy and procedures and associated standards.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate:

  • high computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications, and experience in the use of HP Records Manager (TRIM) or other Electronic Document and Record Management Systems (EDRMS)
  • knowledge of records management policies, principles and procedures in a government environment
  • experience in delivering a high level of service success, meeting organisational and client requirements
  • excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • working knowledge of relevant legislation impacting information management, including the Evidence Act 2008, Public Records Act 1973, and Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) standards and guidelines etc
  • experience in compliance monitoring within a records management setting would be highly regarded.
