This is a rare opportunity to take on a newly created and pivotal role in a Melbourne based business which manufactures and markets a portfolio of innovative, quality Australian food products to domestic and regional consumers. The enterprise is supported by a group of experienced private investors, a strong leadership team and an investment strategy which is committed to growth.

Reporting to the CFO, your mandate is broad and varied and will primarily include responsibility for the day to day financial administration of the business whilst also implementing accounting processes and procedures to ensure that the finance function effectively supports the planned growth of the enterprise. You will have oversight of all accounting operations, month end financial accounting and management reporting, cashflow forecasting & treasury management and for all statutory reporting requirements. You will be a focal point for stakeholders, using your financial subject matter expertise to support decisions which impact upon finance and business operations. As a forward-looking and proactive finance professional, you will also be expected to continuously seek opportunities to implement or improve finance & business processes and controls.

The business is seeking a CA/CPA-qualified experienced Finance Manager/Senior Accountant to lead and manage an effective financial administration function in business undertaking a step-change in its trajectory. To be considered for this opportunity you should possess previous experience in a similar role, perhaps gained in a rapidly growing SME or a division of a larger corporate. Ideally, you will have also been responsible for Treasury/Cashflow reporting and will have been instrumental in driving finance process improvement programs. Strong forecasting and management reporting skills are essential. Equally importantly you will be an exceptional communicator and an energetic and highly motivated self-starter.
