The opportunity

The Team Lead - Recycling Markets Acceleration (Materials) will drive the development and implementation of strategies and interventions to build end markets for priority recycled materials, including building strong stakeholder relationships across industry and government and coordinating activities across the portfolio as part of Recycling Victoria.

In line with Recycling Victoria's Market Acceleration Program, this role will lead development and delivery of projects to identify new end uses and build demand for priority recycled materials (plastics, paper, cardboard, glass and tyres) across the economy.

The role will have overall responsibility for the successful design, development, delivery and reporting of the material market development funding program including grants and agreements (i.e. contracts) and project management to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

This will include delivery of an expanded research and development program, delivering grants to support industry and university partnerships supporting research and product trials to develop specifications, standards and guidance material to support increased use of recycled materials in commercial, industrial and construction settings. The role will work in collaboration with the SV data team to undertake regular market analysis to identify emerging program opportunities and priorities.

About you

Key requirements of the role include business or market development experience, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and project management. A demonstrated ability to multi-task while being resilient and adaptable to the demands of a fast-paced agile work environment is essential.
