About Us

Fines and Enforcement Services (FES) is a business unit within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's Police, Registration and Crime Prevention group.

FES is responsible for managing the end-to-end infringements system in Victoria and includes the Director, Fines Victoria, and the Sheriff's Office Victoria.

About the Role

The position is responsible for the development and delivery of the business planning framework for branches in FES with a focus on defining outcomes and in managing processes associated with planning, performance measurement, risk management, quality and reporting to meet both Group and Departmental requirements.

Some of the key responsibilities for the role are:

  • manage Business Planning and Improvement, including common strategic planning processes, performance measurement, risk management, quality and continuous improvement frameworks and approaches
  • initiate, manage and evaluate a range of projects and activities to promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning that enhances service delivery
  • provide leadership, guidance and support to the unit's leadership team, senior managers and staff on the implementation of quality management initiatives

The position also provides advice and direction to FES on the department's Integrated Planning Framework and is a point of contact with the Group and Department.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • extensive experience and highly developed skills in managing business planning, risk management, business continuity planning and performance reporting
  • proven practical experience in strategic and business planning, developing and implementing improvement frameworks
  • demonstrated ability in researching and preparing high level documentation and presenting these to senior and executive audiences
  • excellent planning and organisational skills, driving and monitoring workload and maintaining high level accuracy
