JOB DESCRIPTION

Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) Internship Program 2021

The Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA), in partnership with Cricket Australia and state organisations nationally, is offering five, paid sport administration internships for ACA members looking to develop their careers. Please note that while we are advertising eight opportunities, the ACA will only select five to proceed. This means that not all listed positions are guaranteed to come to fruition.

The internships are paid sport administration internships available to ACA members strictly. This program has been made possible through funds donated by the current players, and through partnerships with state cricket organisations nationally. The Program is a terrific example of how current players are funding initiatives to benefit fellow members and strengthen the game.

The ACA Internship Program was developed as an opportunity for ACA members to gain work experience and is available to all ACA members. ACA has engaged long-term careers partner Infront Sports Consulting (via people2people) to manage the application process. For the 2021 Program, Cricket Victoria is offering the following opportunity:

Cricket Victoria: Coaching and Competitions Intern

Supporting the Cricket Operations and the Community Cricket departments, this role will assist with the implementation of state and national coaching development strategies, as well as key findings across statewide competitions. The successful candidate will also assist with competition management support, and the development of educational resources for players and umpires.

Applications close at 11:59 pm on Friday 7th May 2021. All applications will require your current Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter detailing:

  • Your preferred internship option
  • Your availability to complete the ten-week placement
Placements can be completed full or part-time, in-season or during the off-season, with flexibility around training, playing and other commitments.

For further information, please call Ryan Higgins or Erin Devlin at Infront Sports Consulting on 1300 338 546 or ACA Player Transition Manager Carla Dziwoki on 0422 389 755.
