We are looking for an exceptional Business Analyst to work within the WoVG Common Corporate Platforms Program team to deliver advice, analysis and research on diverse and challenging business needs and outcomes covering people, process, policy and technology.

The Common Corporate Platforms program sits within the Digital Strategy and Transformation branch of the Department of Premier and Cabinet which is responsible for providing digital policy thought leadership across the whole of Victorian government. Therefore, candidates will be required to have knowledge and experience in key digital skills such as agile methods of working and delivery, business analysis and modelling, digital perspective including an understanding of the digital ecosystem, advances in technology and how these impact on a government context, stakeholder relationship management, and service design and a user focus. 

The branch provides leading thinking on digital and technology across whole of Victorian government as well as being responsible for the digital strategy and architecture; digital policy, governance, and assurance; and cyber security.

About you

  • The ideal candidate will have significant experience undertaking BA activities to support the successful implementation of aligning Procurement and Finance corporate systems across government including aligning people policies, processes, and technology.
  • Working closely with teams across the Victorian government, the Business Analyst will work with business stakeholders and program team members to map, analyse and document business processes, policies and existing systems. Develop documentation such as business case, investment proposals, benefits realisation plan and business requirements and provide input to a range of other project deliverables.
  • Lastly, the successful candidates will be required to work flexibly across the branch and embrace digital technology, therefore we are looking for candidates that demonstrate transferable skills and a broad depth of knowledge across digital transformation.
