About the role:

Working with the People and Projects Branch, the Volunteers Partner promotes and supports consistent, high-quality volunteer management across the Library.

A primary focus of the role is to partner with volunteer managers and the Library Leadership Team in delivery of priorities identified in the Volunteer Strategy including enhanced volunteer engagement and increased number of volunteers that represent diverse, target audiences.

The Volunteers Partner is responsible for;

  • Ensuring the Library engages volunteers in accordance with the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement;
  • Contributing to the development of the Volunteer Strategy;
  • The development of consistent frameworks and practices for managing volunteers across the Library;
  • Recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers and;
  • Administration of the volunteer management system “Better Impact', including reporting on monthly KPI's.

About you:

You will be a true collaborator with demonstrated experience in a similar role where business partnering was a primary focus. You will possess a strong ability to communicate effectively and realise change through influencing the actions of others.

You will use your thorough understanding of the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement and relevant legislation to support decision making and apply your advanced understanding of contemporary principles, practices and standards associated with the engagement, development and deployment of volunteers, enabling you to successfully attract, engage and retain our volunteers.

The ideal candidate will also have Tertiary qualifications in human resources, or a related discipline.
