Communications and Engagement Adviser

Help us deliver exceptional digital experiences designed for Victorians. The Department of Premier and Cabinet is leading a Whole of Victorian Government digital reform program that will transform the way the Victorian Public Service (VPS) operates and engages with the community.

Digital Victoria is a brand-new government agency launching on 1 July 2021 that will streamline and accelerate digital transformation in Victoria. We've set a big vision for ourselves.

We want to shape the digital future of our amazing state. To do that, we will define Victoria's first ever digital strategy and champion the use of data and new technologies, for the benefit of all Victorians. We're also going to guide and support the public service to work in more collaborative and agile ways so they can better serve the people of Victoria.

As Communications and Engagement Adviser, you'll be accountable for supporting the development and delivery of communications and engagement plans for Digital Victoria.

Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will be applied to creating awareness and gaining support for the work of Digital Victoria. You will get to work closely with policy, strategy, content, design and technology teams.

You will be self-starting, proactive and calm under pressure. Working with a highly experienced team, this is a rare opportunity to help shape and support communications during the establishment phase of a new agency. You will have opportunities both to lead and learn, working on a highly visible government priority.

We're a start up in government, so the pace is fast, the culture is supportive, and the work is interesting. The team values systems thinking, pragmatic problem solving, initiative and resourcefulness. Above all we value curiosity, passion, creativity and innovation in the way things are done. Working with us, you can make a difference not just in your career, but in the community where you work and live.

Please note: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, working remotely arrangements are in place.
