About the role

An opportunity has now opened for a Technical Lead to work on WiFi and Network (LAN / WAN) Deployments and related infrastructure projects at a Technical Project Manager capacity. This is an initial 18 month fixed term contract with the potential to extend further.

About you

You will have significant experience managing complex network-related projects in a Technical Lead / Project Manager capacity. 

To be considered you will have an excellent knowledge in all aspects of information technology, specifically with complex infrastructure environments.

You will have demonstrated experience in the following: 

  • Working on Wi-Fi and Network (LAN / WAN) deployments and / or related infrastructure projects at a technical PM capacity
  • Working with data cablers, networking integrators, carriers and other technical experts
  • Liaising building managers for the purposes of scheduling installations and equipment removals
  • Driving installations of WAN, LAN, WiFi and cabling technologies

You will also possess Knowledge and Understanding of:

  • Wireless technologies (Wifi5, wifi6, Bluetooth, WLCs, wireless channels, etc)
  • Network Cabling standards (OM1-3, CAT5e, 6, 6a, 7, etc)
  • Cloud-based network management platforms, for example Aruba Central, Meraki, Extreme IQ
  • Local Area Network infrastructure, switches and routers
  • Wide Area Network infrastructure, including MPLS, NBN-EE, and (not essential) SD-WAN, FTTP, FTTB, etc
  • General infrastructure knowledge (servers, datacentres, firewalls, etc)
  • Wireless site surveys, and tools to analyse Wi-Fi channels, frequencies (e.g. Ekahau)
  • Familiarity with cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) platforms
  • Financial Systems and procurement processes
  • The principles of information security
