The Team

The Pharmacy Training Team is responsible for supporting Sigma’s retail brands and independent customers by equipping our Franchise Partners and their pharmacy teams with the relevant training, critical information and support to help pharmacy owners and their teams run better businesses.

The Opportunity

An exciting senior leadership opportunity is now available to lead the team as the Group Manager – Pharmacy Team Training.

Based in Rowville (Melbourne) or Toowong (Brisbane), this role will manage the Pharmacy Team Training Service Menu; focusing on creating programs and events that drive people and business outcomes, and support Sigma’s franchise partners and pharmacy team members.

Key Responsibilities include:

With support from the Learning and Development Team, this role will:

  • Ensure that Franchise Partners and Pharmacy team members learning capability is developed and executed across the various brands based on need and opportunity analysis.
  • Collaborate with brand teams to develop the annual learning calendar(s).
  • Service menu deliverables including all online modules, program, packages and learning events
  • Deliver programs of learning across the whole of pharmacy, with variations in programs dependant on brand and business requirements.
  • Manage the Pharmacy Team Training budget and department financial performance and outcomes
  • Ensure best practice learning programs are available across the retail brands in multiple formats / channels from digital to face to face learning programs.
  • Ensure learning modules, packages, programs and events are designed and delivered to best impact capability of teams across the various roles within pharmacy.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Retail Pharmacy Services teams to ensure team training services deliver commercial outcomes for suppliers, Sigma and pharmacies
  • Collaborate with Retail Pharmacy Services teams to ensure team training for relevant projects and programs are designed and delivered to maximise pharmacy learner engagement and outcomes
  • Collaborate with Pharmacy Effectiveness team and Brand heads to support capability improvements in Field Teams.
  • Determine the appropriate measures to define success of learning modules, packages and programs.
  • Work with subsequent pharmacy performance data analysis and program feedback insights, to measure success of Team Training impacts.
  • Provide timely delivery of reporting and insights to key business departments
  • Ensure measures take into consideration current VOC, Voice of Supplier, Voice of Team, NPS

About You

We are seeking a seasoned Training & Development professional with

  • A tertiary qualification in a Business, Psychology, Pharmacy or relevant field
  • Professional work experience in one or more of the following: Learning and Development, Communications, Pharmacy Operations, Franchise Operations or Retail
  • 5+ years’ experience in large scale team training, or franchise operations
  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to draft a range of documentation to be presented to Senior stakeholders
  • An outgoing and creative person with a can-do attitude
