JOB DESCRIPTION

Avanti Coffee Lovely Banks are looking for a bubbly, friendly, experienced barista and manager to manage an established team and store.

We are a busy drive thru coffee shop, producing 10-12KG of coffee a day. We like to have fun and enjoy while making coffee and interacting with our extremely loyal customer base.

Position Duties:

· Maintain Daily Operations of the store, including management of staff.

· Rostering and timesheets, leave requests.

· Stock ordering and stock management within budget.

· Communication with Company Manager and/or Director on staff issues, maintenance requests, any issues that may arise.

· Daily banking or delegating other staff to bank, ensuring change levels are appropriate, coin bags, deposit books and deposit bags are topped up.

· Washing of cloths regularly.

· Obtaining goods from the supermarket or Campbell’s where required.

· Ensuring cleaning rosters are kept up to date and staff are actively keeping equipment well maintained.

· Conducting quarterly performance reviews.

· Dealing with customer complaints.

· Conducting staff interviews and managing staff discipline where required, with the issuing of written warnings if necessary.

· Marketing ideas, bringing ideas for growth for the business.

About you-

  • Must be an experienced barista. You must understand the workings of a coffee machine, grind adjustment and milk texturing while maintaining speed and quality of coffee.
  • Must have experience in management. Stock control, stock ordering and rostering.
  • Must be willing to adapt, grow and learn.
  • A sense of urgency is a must in drive thru, we aim to be quick but without losing the quality of our product.
  • The ability to think outside the square when problems arise and to use your initiative to find solutions.
  • Must have excellent communication skills to be able to communicate with staff, upper management and customers alike.
  • POS experience and the use of operating systems. Would be handy to have a good understanding of technology and cloud based systems.
