What will your typical day look like?

As a AEM Developer, you will help provide technical advisory and implementation services to clients and businesses. You will also help clients align their business and technology strategies – enabling them to pursue these in a sustainable and supportive way.

Your role will encompass:

  • Establishing technology as a key enabler of business strategy through the development of pragmatic IT strategic plans
  • Shaping, building, integrating and deploying tailored AEM technology solutions to enable businesses
  • Helping IT organisations achieve best in class performance and leveraging extended delivery capabilities such as outsourcing and offshore models
  • Delivering specific technology solutions which address specific business issues.

Your role:

  • Collaborate with other engineers, architects, creatives, and clients to design and implement web solutions
  • Implement modern and maintainable code solutions on the AEM Platform
  • Ensure that software solutions are performant, secure, and properly documented
  • Develop and adhering to coding & architecture standards
  • Promote process improvements to increase development efficiency and quality of features
  • Thoroughly validate and verify your work through unit tests to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Aware of data privacy when developing solutions
  • Intellectual curiosity, passion, inventiveness, and a desire to learn, grow and coach
  • Eagerness to learn new languages, frameworks, and technologies
  • Have a positive attitude towards both work and people
  • Motivated to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Eagerness to share the knowledge and help team members to grow
  • Ability to coach junior associates on and off the projects

As a technical Consultant/Senior Consultant, you will essentially apply Deloitte’s methodologies for solution delivery.

Required skills:

  • Sound understanding and adept in Adobe AEM(6.X and above) foundational concepts and the AEM architecture (mandatory)
  • Working on design solution and implementation of AEM Forms or any other Adobe products would be beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge and expertise in integrating AEM with other Adobe Experience Cloud Products or any other non-Adobe systems.
  • Solid understanding of integration methodologies and the design principles
  • Working with JCR API, Sling web framework & models, Apache Felix OSGi framework, HTL/Sightly, DAM and Workflows.
  • Administering the AEM system.
  • Working knowledge of continuous integration, continuous deployment, product and data security, and software refactoring
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, less, JS, jQuery, Bootstrap and JavaScript.
  • Managing Source Code repositories and conducting Code Reviews
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Required qualification:

  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Worked in software engineering roles for 3+ years
  • 2 + Years in AEM Backend Development
  • Adobe Experience Manager certifications a plus
  • Demonstrable expert experience in online application development principles and patterns/models
  • Understanding of content focused solution development
  • Experience in Cloud Computing and Network architecture is a plus
  • Knowledge of Data Structures and algorithms
