We're seeking a Portal Consultant to join our internal Collaboration & Knowledge team. In addition to the Intranet the team manages the Microsoft 365 suite of tools for KPMG Australia focused on increasing productivity and improving how staff collaborate and share knowledge in an agile and mobile work environment.

This is a great opportunity on a large-scale intranet migration project to transition our current SharePoint 2013 platform to SharePoint Online.

Your new role will involve:

  • Providing solutions and advice on overall design, layout, usability, maintenance and quality control for the KPMG Australia intranet
  • Designing and implementing effective SharePoint solutions in line with KPMG guidelines, site architecture and industry best practice.
  • Working in collaboration with Business subject matter experts to produce, edit, proof and publish Intranet content to meet the needs of intended audiences.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of user experience and/or user acceptance testing.
  • Working with Business Content Owners to transition their content from the current to the new intranet platform
  • Ensuring that content is high quality, relevant, accessible and up-to-date
  • Working with an off-shore team to ensure day to day work is being completed within agreed SLAs and larger assignments are completed according to requirements.

You bring to the role

  • Demonstrated experience managing intranet content and facilitating knowledge sharing across a large organisation
  • Experience applying user centred design and user experience principles to intranet solutions
  • Ability to plan activities, identify gaps, risks and issues and mitigate them to ensure objectives will be met
  • Self-motivation with a proactive attitude and approach to work and providing solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly assimilate information
