Are You a Brewer with a Bubbly Personality with an Effervescent Spirit?
Ferment Your Knowledge of Brewing and Upskill Others in its Science
Infuse Your Career with New Tastes & Big Ideas to Support Product Innovation

Our client has grown rapidly being an early adopter of consumer trends, particularly healthy eating and drinking. They have a significant National presence, with distribution across all Australian States/Territories and New Zealand, through both Food Service and Retail Channels. In recent times they have also embarked on global expansion across several countries which further contributes to this rapid expansion.

Due to this adventurous innovative culture, it is a fun environment and it is casual Friday every day.

Don’t be fooled though—the pace is express and they work extremely hard. They work closely with their co-manufacturers to produce healthy and better-for-you food and beverages using authentic ingredients.

In a nutshell, you should only apply if you are the type of person who:

Gets stuff done and doesn’t muck around;
Picks up the phone to speak to someone;
Jumps in to help and gets stuck in until the job is done;
Sees the glass as being half-full and has the resilience to solve problems;
Has the ability to sustain momentum by thinking creatively and collaboratively; and
Is part of an existing brewing network and is tapped into what’s happening in the industry.

This role will suit an experienced and creative Brewer who has a flexible mindset. Whilst being able to execute product launches through the development process, your remit will cover all technical brewing and finished product specifications for a portfolio of Living Beverages.

Reporting to the Innovation Manager, you shall lead technical brewing innovation and—through your curiosity and drive—constantly be looking for ways to further optimise the brewing process for our product range. Additionally, working closely with Quality and Supply, you will also oversee external brewing to ensure that all product and process specifications are met by co-manufacturing partners.

Our client seeks someone who is absolutely passionate about brewing, just the right balance of fermentation geek and foodie, and meets the following criteria:

Minimum 7 years’ experience in technical brewing, preferably with at least 2 years spent making of kombucha;
Degree qualification in Science or Engineering, plus a certificate in Brewing is highly desirable;
HACCP Level 3 minimum and a working knowledge of SQF is highly valued;
Flexibility to deal with a change in priorities at short notice including the ability to switch tasks rapidly;
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively interact and collaborate with others in the team; and
Possess knowledge of FSANZ, Retailer Quality Systems, and Food Safety.

The willingness to take on ad hoc activities outside of your core role is essential.
