About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager of Human Resources, the Head of HR Operations will lead a team of Regional HR Managers and their teams across ANZ. A key member of the HR Leadership Team, the Head of HR Operations Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities to continuously improve the delivery of HR Operations across ANZ as well as being an HR operational support to the GM of Human Resources and General Managers across the Bunnings business.


In addition, this role will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and support to a team of Regional HR Managers, National Store Support HR Manager, and their teams across Bunnings, Australia, and NZ. In total 8 Direct Reports across multiple locations / Jurisdictions
  • Overseeing the HRM Operations, ensuring the team are supported, and delivering on the BANZ HR plan
  • Ensuring HR plays an effective consultancy role across each stage of the team life cycle
  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives to give team and leaders the opportunity to maximize their potential and take a proactive approach to prevent grievances.
  • Assist in the formulation of the BANZ HR strategy to achieve business plan objectives
  • Researching team and HR issues and present proactive solutions to meet the needs of the business
  • Support the employee relations team to ensure emerging risks or industrial disputes are dealt with in a manner that aligns with Bunnings' culture and minimizes business disruption

About you:

  • Degree level or equivalent in HR, Psychology, Law, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years' Senior HR Management experience leading HR teams across multiple jurisdictions
  • Extensive knowledge across Industrial/Employee Relations (ER) Legislation
  • Proven experience leading change within large enterprises
  • A collaborative leader, with strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and facilitation skills / facilitating to large groups and senior stakeholders
  • Experience developing and initiative HR lead projects
