As a Developer in our Microsoft Apps team your impact will be seen by:

  • Assisting in the delivery of proof of concepts built on the Azure Data Platform, Power BI and SQL Server Business Intelligence Solutions.
  • The technical delivery and implementation of data models, data transformation process and reporting.
  • Being part of delivery streams focusing on the delivery of the specific solution component allocated to your team.
  • Your ability to delivery the work allocated to you on-time and within scope according to agreed best practices and using prescribed tools, frameworks and processes.
  • Your ability to engage with diverse stakeholders to support data and analytics, process and system development
  • Previous experience on delivery projects which were delivered using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to develop reports, dashboards & scorecards, data exploration and visual analytics using existing and emerging tools and technologies
  • Your ability to demonstrate your experience in creating and maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Your ability to work independently or as part of a team to design and develop solutions

About you

You have a background in the delivery of Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions with at least 2 years of experience, hold a Bachelor Degree or equivalent IT qualification and are familiar with relational database concepts and SQL, Azure and familiar with Agile delivery methodologies and are skilled in Data Management, Business Intelligence and Analytics concepts, including:
  • Extract, Transform and Load (ETL), Extract, Load and Transform (ELT)
  • Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Data Marts, Data Stores, and Cubes
  • Data Quality and Profiling,
  • Data Governance, Master Data Management, and Metadata Management
  • Data Visualization, Dashboard, Reporting, Self Service Business Intelligence, Key Performance Indicators, and Scorecards
  • Predictive, Prescriptive, and Descriptive Analytics
  • Data Pipelines
  • DAX Query Optimisation

With delivery experience in the following Microsoft Business Intelligence tools:
  • SQL Server
