About the role:

The Public Support Information Officer is located in the Police Enquiry Service unit, which is responsible for updating and releasing of highly sensitive information in a very busy environment. Every enquiry or task is performed in accordance with strict guidelines, and the area plays an important role in ensuring the integrity of information recorded on Law Enforcement Assistance Program (LEAP) and other force databases. 

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and support flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparing, checking and updating criminal history information onto corporate databases.
  • Providing accurate, prompt and professional advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide a range of administrative functions and support.
  • The ability to assess the accuracy and completeness of information in accordance with established standards and procedures.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Ability to assess the accuracy and completeness of information in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Experience in data entry.
  • Ability to accurately maintain and utilise a range of electronic and manual records and information systems.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Two (2) x full time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
