JOB DESCRIPTION

The Commission is an independent statutory body that promotes improvement in policies and practices affecting the safety and wellbeing of Victorian children and young people. It has a particular focus on vulnerable children and young people. The position sits within the education and capacity building team

The education and capacity building team proactively promotes awareness and education to support compliance with Child Safe Standards (CSS) and the Reportable Conduct Scheme (RCS). This includes providing advice to stakeholders and assisting the Commission to drive a continuous improvement ethos and commitment in the policies and practices of service providers, government and other organisations.

About the opportunity

In this role you will:

  • work within a team environment.
  • lead the development of practical, useful and clear guidance that adapts complex legislation and policy to a form suitable for its intended audience.
  • work with internal and external stakeholders, including content experts.
  • analyse and interpret policy and legislation.
  • be responsible for project managing the development of guidance within timeframes.
