Systems Accountant with Microsoft Dynamics D365FinOps

(F&O) to join a global organisation.

This is a permanent role based in Inner Melbourne.

This position is responsible for playing a lead role in the supporting Finance function through the administration/governance of the organisations financial systems and interfaces with core source systems including issue resolution, system improvements. 

Working closely with key stakeholders and end-users across the firm, this role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the finance systems and associated business processes, delivery of a Business Intelligence reporting and analysis, enabling better data-driven commercial decisions.

  • Understand the end to end system landscape and associated business processes to ensure integrity of systems are fit for purpose.
  • Work with the finance team to identify and implement process improvement
  • Act as conduit with the IT Department
  • Standardisation of processes and implementation of changes designed to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Create and maintain process documentation including both current and future state of finance systems
  • Preparation and maintenance of training materials and facilitate sharing of knowledge within the business
  • Presenting meaningful reports to aid better strategic decision making.
  • Deployment of a deep understanding of business key performance indicator and reporting requirements and business expectations.
  • Developing automated tools and dashboards to provide real-time insights to business data
  • Devising and promoting creative data visualisation to derive actionable intelligence
  • Assist with systemising financial modelling, analysis and compilation of quantitative data
  • Guide and teach end-users in report writing (M365,PowerBI)
  • Process mapping and efficiency analysis
  • Providing subject matter expertise for all data related processes
  • Creating, maintaining, and optimizing a business-wide dashboard(s)
  • Processing large amounts of data in an organized manner
  • Comfortably interacting with more senior manager via presentations and conversations
  • Craft approaches likely to be seen as appropriate and positive.
  • Effective written and oral communication of complex issues


  • Previous proven experience in Systems Accountant/ Business Intelligence or similar roles
  • Ability to find solutions, advise and recommend to senior stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail is essential 
  • Exemplary organizational skills
  • PowerPivot, Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Access, SQL, R , Python, Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of Accounting transactional tasks
