Grounds person required for a temporary contract at a private school in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs
Your new company
Located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, our well recognised client is seeking a grounds person to join their maintenance team. This position is commencing immediately, working 3 days per week (Wednesday – Friday) and can offer temporary work until at least end of March 2021. There is also a 2 week break over the Christmas/New Year period.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Grounds you will be required to work alongside existing maintenance team performing general grounds maintenance. As a grounds person your duties will include a variety of tasks such as the below:
- Watering, hedging, edging, whipper snipping, pruning, weeding, mulching, fertilising, mowing, spraying and planting
- General maintenance to ensure grounds and sports playing fields are clean and tidy
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you must have;
- Valid Working with Children's Check
- Qualification in Horticulture/Grounds (desired)
- Experience working in a similar role (school experience highly regarded)
What you'll get in return
In return for your hard work, you’ll receive an hourly rate of $29 - $32ph, superannuation, and the opportunity to work for a well-respected company.
