JOB DESCRIPTION

OBJECTIVE:

To assist the Footscray Water Polo club with administration tasks relating to junior program development and junior competition. 

ROLES: 

  • Maintenance of junior player database
  • First point of contact for new and existing player enquiries
  • Assist with coordinating junior activities (events, competition, social)

ESTIMATED HOURS:

  • The estimated time commitment required for this role is 2 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communication

  • Monitor the club email address for relevant correspondence
  • Sending communications to junior players/parents in accordance with the Club communications strategy and with assistance from the communications team.

New Players:

  • Welcome new junior players to the club as the first point of contact.
  • Ensure that new junior players are provided with induction packages and other relevant information

Program Development

  • Undertake administration tasks for junior program development as directed by the Business Development Sub Committee.
  • Programs may include junior tournaments, school programs and partner club affiliated programs. 

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to President
  • Updates the Business Development Sub Committee monthly, working under the guidance of the Sub Committee to execute responsibilities.
  • Liaises with coaches, players, parents and junior team managers as required.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • The Junior Program Administration Officer is accountable to the Business Development Sub Committee.
  • The estimated time commitment required for this role is 2 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • A welcoming and friendly attitude to new players
  • Experience with MS Office and web-based document management systems (e.g. GoogleDocs, Notion)
