Full- Time Chef Required

Bombay by Night Indian Restaurant

Located at 355 North Rd, Caulfield South VIC 3162, Bombay by Night Indian Restaurant is currently seeking a qualified Full-Time Chef to join our friendly team asap.

We are looking for someone who is experienced, creative, organized, and passionate.

Responsibilities:

• Planning of menu items
• Supervise kitchen staff during the food preparation and also prepare food according to the cultural and dietary needs of the customers.
• Preparing various food items from our restaurant menu by using various cooking methods
• Prepare the list of required items in the kitchen and order food supplies.
• Estimating food and labor cost of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
• Planning kitchen rosters in liaison with the management
• Monitoring quality of food at all stages of preparation.

Requirements:

• Prior Relevant Experience – (Minimum 2 years in a busy kitchen with Indian dishes)
• Relevant Qualification in commercial cookery (Cert IV/Diploma)
• Flexible availability (Tuesday to Sunday 4 pm - Late)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a high-pressure environment.
• Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements

Salary: $54,000 - $58,000 plus super depending on experience.
