About the company:
Based in Kew, this accounting practice is wholly owned and operated by the directors. The company provides holistic accounting and tax advice with pride themselves on high-level client service and esteemed brand perception

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the end-to-end Bookkeeping function for firm-based clients.
  • Establish and setup/customise new software files for new businesses
  • Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements
  • Processing Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Maintain and establish bank feeds into system
  • Processing periodic wages using payroll software and STP
  • Calculate and track accrued annual and personal leave
  • Calculate and process employee termination payments
  • Calculate and lodge superannuation for employees
  • Establishing STP and Super Clearing House for new businesses
  • Preparation of BAS
  • Calculation and lodgement of payroll tax returns
  • Preparation of annual workcover reconciliations
  • Liaising with clients and the ATO as required
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements including supporting workpapers

The Candidate:
To be considered for this role it is essential that you have

  • Bookkeeping experience in a public practice accounting firm
  • High proficiency with MYOB (Account Right and Essentials) and Xero required
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of the fundamental bookkeeping knowledge and theory.
  • Ability to suggest improvements to processes and procedures
  • Ability to train new on the use of MYOB and Xero
