This major financial organisation is using the latest technology to re-imagine the way they deliver their services. This is not like most roles in major finance.

If you'd like to part of building something really different and exciting, then this may be the role for you.

What will you do?

As a Lead Integration Architect, you will lead a team of architects to design and deliver completely new and re-imagined cloud-native technology platforms.

What will your day look like?

This role is dynamic in nature, but here are some of the key things you will do:

  • Understand business strategy and architecture needs, define innovative & sustainable solution designs that enable incremental and continuous delivery of business value through Epics to Features.
  • Work closely with leaders across the business to put together integration architecture roadmaps and reference architectures.
  • Work with delivery teams, ensuring the adherence to the solution design standards while acting as a mentor to ensure consistent approaches to use of design patterns and standards are adopted.

What will be in your toolkit? (ideally)

- You have solid experience with integration:

  • iPaaS stacks like Mulesoft, Kong etc
  • Appreciate best practice across all aspects of integration at enterprise level.
  • GCP experience preferred - AWS/Azure also considered.

- You have led integrations to SaaS systems and to legacy data centre-based applications.

- You understand all things API - REST, gRPC, GraphQL, open standards like OpenAPI, tracing through Open Telemetry.

- You have designed event driven systems using Kafka and Pub/Sub.

- You have experience educating developers on API standards and driving API catalogues.

- You are happy to lead PoCs when needed and have familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

- You are a "big picture thinker", who possesses a willingness to accept and adapt ideas from various sources (engineers, architects, PO's, ...) to ensure collective success.

- You have exemplary communication skills and can participate in governance forums to represent and defend new architectures and solutions.

- You have experience with technical leadership and are passionate about leading/mentoring a team.
