JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:The role is a key part of our Softlines team, providing support across the apparel and home category portfolios within the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) market. The role will drive and manage the infant and nursery category and have additional responsibility within the direct to retail division in line with the Senior Category Manager's direction. The role will also be the lead in managing the digital marketing opportunities across the Softlines business and provide administrative support to the broader Softlines team when required.

- This is a 12 month maternity leave cover
Responsibilities:Admin Support

  • Fully support the ‘direct to retail’ team and Home Commercial Manager with all contract administration where required. Maintain and administer licensee contracts consistent with DPEP policy and procedures
  • Support the Senior Commercial Manager (and DTR team) in managing partners including organising and building presentations for internal use & for licensees, collating product inspiration and franchise information.

Commercial Management
  • Role divided between the DTR and the wholesale side of the business with a varied portfolio and exposure to both commercial models.
  • Lead a portfolio of licensees across the infant and nursery category
  • Prepare and execute strategic category reviews across lead categories aligned with ANZ strategic plan
  • Manage licensee base including: category analytics, regular reporting of data and insights, franchise updates and presentations, joint business planning and retail pitching
  • Responsibility for tracking the forecasting and reporting of managed licensee against budget and prior year, including entering data
  • Support the Senior Commercial Manager across the broader DTR business including partner development, ideation and new business.

Retail Focus
  • Partner with the retail brand development team to build and execute strong, industry leading programs
  • Maximise key annual retail events i.e. Babyweek
  • Engage and build strong relationships with buyers ensuring strong support for programs

Marketing Responsibility
  • Responsible for the monthly creation of a B2B ‘Global Round Up’ presentation of softlines product
  • Digital marketing – inform, update and collate the digital marketing opportunities for softline partners, curate product to be featured and communicate and Shop Disney/EDMs – weekly updating team of next opportunities to feature product and deadline for assets. Collating and briefing on behalf of everyone 6 weeks’ out


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Marketing

Preferred Education
  • 1-2 years experience as an Assistant Manager or Executive
  • 3+ years’ experience in Brand Management/Licensing/Account Management
  • Financial management experience with relation to forecasting and budgeting
  • Good understanding of retail environment
  • Understanding of the infant and nursery category a bonus
