We are looking for an operations manager and join our team. 

This is a full-time role and flexible availability is required. 

The role will be spread across multiple sites and will be hands-on and people-focused. You will be responsible for managing supervisors and teams.

The role will be based at our head office in Bayswater North but involve work at one of our contracted venues in Hawthorn and other events across Victoria.

You will be required to manage the day to day operations of our key event spaces as well as the day to day operations of our catering arm.

About The Role:

  • The position is responsible for delivering our awesome events, liaising with our clients ensuring that their expectations are met, whilst managing staff and on the job training, whilst ensuring our high standards are adhered to at all times.
  • This position will be a key contact in our management of Hawthorn Arts Centre, managing our KPI's at the centre and overseeing the day to day operations of the venue.
  • Relationship management is key to this role, as you will be responsible for overseeing customer relations and ensuring the highest levels of customer service

About You:

  • You are a hands-on person that leads by example
  • You have a good understanding of the events industry coming from a catering or hotel background.
  • You love working in a friendly team environment
  • You have excellent communication skills 
  • You will have a willingness to multitask
  • You understand the demands of a busy hospitality environment
  • You have an eye for detail and an appreciation of great food and wine
  • You are hardworking and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude
