Your Role

This position influences the development of community sport and active recreation infrastructure and planning projects across a metropolitan Melbourne region, along with broader place-based sport and active recreation outcomes consistent with Active Victoria. The role involves leading relationship development and investment management of Local Government Authorities in the community sport and recreation infrastructure and place-based initiatives.

Sport and Recreation Victoria manages several infrastructure investment programs that seek to increase participation in community sport and recreation by making investments that maximise the delivery of outcomes most aligned to Victorian Government objectives and those within Active Victoria.

Your Skills

  • Experience in the delivery of sport and active recreation infrastructure projects; recreation planning, feasibility or strategic planning; and an understanding of local government and/or peak sports bodies, particularly associated with community sport and active recreation infrastructure.

The position of Manager, Metropolitan East is part of Sport, Recreation and Racing branch in the Creative, Sport and Visitor Economy Group.
