The Role
Join this high performing and highly respected finance team, being part of a team of 2 AR Officers. This part time role (30 hrs p/w, spread over 4 or 5 days p/w) is perfect for candidates with the school run who are looking for flexibility re start/finish times! This integral role is well regarded within the College as you will be acting at the forefront of customer service representing the school, communicating and building relationships with the parents/guardians re billing and administering school fees. Reporting directly to the Manager (Family Accounts) your primary duties will comprise of:
- Monitor and maintain fees via email, phone
- Process late admissions
- Manage debtors portfolio, debtor reporting
- Process annual fee billing
- Credit Card processing, BPAY receipting
- Maintain and process direct debit and credit card payments
- Follow up on declined payments
- Review debtors trial balance
- Contact families to establish approved payment plans and arrangements
- Assist with processing welfare applications
- Record/update debtor files in ERP system
- Update credit charges/credits, fee adjustments where possible
- Maintain strict confidentiality re financial data in system
- Monthly reports as required for Finance report preparation
- Other ad hoc tasks as required by Finance Manager
About You
Ideally you will have come from a background where you have collected monies from consumers directly, this could be from the Health, Financial services or the Educational sector. However, candidates from other industry sectors are also encouraged to apply, most important is obtaining excellent customer service skills and displaying a tactful and empathetic approach with collections.
