About Us

COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV) is responsible for Victoria's COVID-19 Accommodation response, including:
  • Mandatory quarantine for returned overseas travellers
  • Emergency Accommodation for people that cannot safely isolate/quarantine in their accommodation.

The Victorian Chief Health Officer has mandated that all returning overseas travellers arriving in Victoria must go into mandatory quarantine for 14 days from the day of their arrival to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

In addition, CQV is responsible for the operation of Victoria's Emergency Accommodation program for community members and their close contacts who have tested positive for COVID-19 and where an assessment has concluded that there are no other suitable alternative accommodation options for self-isolation.

Infection control and prevention is the primary objective of the mandatory quarantine and emergency accommodation programs.

About The Role

The Program Manager, Risk and Business Continuity, will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of the programs that address risk management of continuing business activity and oversee their delivery to manage infection risk of COVID-19 for businesses in operating their activities.

Besides, you will develop policies and procedures in compliance with the CQV businesses and ensuring the Risk and Business Continuity staff within the region are trained, have access to the appropriate processes and systems to perform their work.

This role will ideally suit a confident professional in leading and delivering Infection risk of COVID-19 communication and has solid stakeholder engagement and management skills. Your critical thinking and problem-solving skills will drive you to manage high-level complex and sensitive issues and implement the best occupational, health and safety measures plan for the branch.

Travel within the greater Melbourne area to COVID-19 accommodation sites may be required. Occasional travel to other locations within Victoria may be required.

The Role Will Also Include
  • Escalate operational/logistical and staffing issues to the Director as required, including developing briefs of highly complex issues, providing options and making decisions.
  • Manage individual and broader COVID-19 infection risk issues, supporting the shared objectives of DJCS and uphold the values of the department
  • Act compatibly with and consider the Charter of Human Rights.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have:
  • Knowledge of risk management standards – an understanding of ISO 31000 and 22301 is mandatory for this position.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the administration of regulatory frameworks in a complex, risk sensitive environment.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of the full range of Microsoft Windows and MS Office application suite software.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing cross-functional projects in complex environments
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working to meet tight deadlines, achieve targets and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to operate well at both a strategic and operational level
