Facilities Coordinator, Inner Council, 3-6 months + extension opportunity, hourly rate + Super, Friendly team!


Your new company
A Local Municipality close to Melbourne CBD requires a Facilities Coordinator to join an expanding team assisting in minor work building projects and the daily up keep and operation of community leased and owned buildings throughout the local area. Reporting to the Manager, you must be adaptable and be able to work autonomously while contributing to the inclusive and collaborative team culture.

Your new role
You will be responsible for:

  • Minor upgrade works facility operations to ensure the continuous usage and operation of Council leased and owned buildings
  • Ensuring buildings meet standard safety and compliance requirements
  • Responding to maintenance requests from staff
  • Ensuring the data base and requests are up to date and responded to in a timely manner
  • Arranging and overseeing sub contractors on site when required


What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will require:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project, Engineering or Facilities Management or relevant certifications
  • Prior experience in Facilities and building operations, preferably with Government experience
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills & customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt
  • Motivated and proactive attitude


What you'll get in return
In return, you will be immediately inducted into a friendly and supportive team who will assist you familiarise yourself with the organisational processes and systems. You will be paid for every hour you work from $48-57 per hour + Super based on experience. Please note: a national police check is required.
